DISCOVERING | Behind the Scenes on the Kiyi; Lake Superior's Research Vessel

Episode 47 - On this episode we board the research vessel Kiyi, the U.S. Geological Survey ship that conducts fisheries research on Lake Superior. I join the crew on Day 1 of their 2023 offshore fish survey for 100 miles from Ashland, WI to Ontonagon, MI to learn what they do, how they do it, and why. Plus I see firsthand the vessel's namesake, the deep-water prey fish which is only found in Lake Superior.
