PODCAST - 2023 Deer Harvest with Richard P. Smith

Podcast Episode 11 - One more podcast this winter about whitetail deer and deer hunting. When I did the Discovering episode about the 2023 Deer Harvest back in February I interviewed 4 people – Chad Stewart of the Michigan DNR, Gary Gorniak of the Straits Area Sportsmen and George Lindquist of UP Whitetails of Marquette County. And I uploaded separate podcasts with each of them. I also interviewed outdoor writer Richard P. Smith and included some of his thoughts in that episode. I wanted to get a variety of hunters thoughts on the deer season and what's going on with our deer population here in the U.P.

I didn’t want listeners to get the wrong idea and think this podcast was only about deer hunting, so I gave that topic a break for a couple of weeks. But I do want to make sure I get Richard’s full interview out there as he makes a lot of good points, and we talk about other factors, not all which I could fit into that February show.
