Podcast Episode 26 - Full interviews with Chad Stewart of the Michigan DNR and Jordan Hoover, chair of the U.P. Deer Advisory Team, about the changes to the 2025 Deer Season in the Upper Peninsula. I had the story on the 5/19 episode of "Discovering" but of course we talked a lot more than the 3-4 minutes of sound bites I used in the show! They talk about the reasoning an logic behind the changes: U.P. wide antlerless harvest opportunities and the reversal back to antlered or antlerless harvest for the Liberty and Independence Hunts. Also we talk more about the newly formed U.P. Deer Advisory Team that came about from last year's Deer Management Initiative groups.
