DISCOVERING | Spring Walleye Egg Take | Marquette City Nature Challenge

Episode 132 - Every year the Michigan DNR collects and spawns eggs from Little Bay de Noc walleye to stock inland lakes here in the Upper Peninsula, plus parts of Lake Superior, and back in the Bays de Noc. I joined them for the spring walleye egg take. Fisheries Research Biologist Troy Zorn also talks about the results of a walleye tagging study done previously and a new acoustic tagging study they just started.

And Marquette County participated in their first City Nature Challenge. I joined NMU students who led the challenge to look for biodiversity at Harlow Lake.
